Dad like the Wind (Father's Day '01)

Dad like the Wind (Father's Day '01)

There once was a Young Ship

that was kind of lost at sea...

                     ...so many uncharted coarses,

a dusty compass it couldn't read.

                    The Ship often got discouraged

and just sat there on the water,

but the Wind couldn't stand for this,

gave all it's breath just for it's daughter.

So the daughter (or the Ship)

would be SOOOOO encouraged by the Wind,

the Mother Sail did best her job

to bring that Ship towards her Friend.

You see, there was a Lighthouse

                        amidst the blurry fog

                    standing tall upon the rocks

                       like a good-'ol faithful dog.

                    Distant as it was,

the light it shed was bright.

If it weren't for that Lighthouse

who could tell the dreary plight?

'Twould be a sad and sorry ending

                        to this little rhyming tale

if it weren't for Father Wind

                        and the (praying) Mother Sail.
